Jay Paik

Jay Paik joined the firm in 2009.  Prior to joining Fenton Nelson, Mr. Paik was an associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP and Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP.  

At Fenton Nelson, Jay specializes in advising clients on a range of business and healthcare related transactional matters.  In his practice, he has experience in assisting healthcare providers and organizations on regulatory compliance and transactional matters, including including advising clients on structuring transactions and conducting day-to-day business operations to ensure compliance with the Stark law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare and Medicaid participation and billing requirements, professional licensing rules, the corporate practice of medicine and fee splitting restrictions and the HIPAA regulations. 

He has assisted in the development of compliance plans and policies for various healthcare providers. His experience also includes the formation and operation of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies. 

Mr. Paik is admitted to the State Bar of California and is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, California Society for Healthcare Attorneys and the Korean American Bar Association.
