Abbie P. Maliniak is a Partner at Fenton Nelson. She has been named one

Dennis E. Lee is a senior associate with Fenton Nelson. He completed a
bachelor's degree from Stanford University with honors and with
distinction in 1989, a law degree from UCLA in 1992, and a master's
degree in physiological sciences from UCLA in 1999. He joined Henry
Fenton in 1995, and has specialized since that time in representing

Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP and Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP.
Benjamin J. Fenton is an associate at Fenton Nelson, where he practices
healthcare litigation. His experience is focused on disputes involving
medical staff peer review, Medical Board licensing, Medi-Cal appeals,
other regulatory matters and civil litigation. Prior to joining Fenton
Nelson, he worked with the East Bay Community Law Center Clinic
assisting low-income individuals and families with healthcare-related
issues.
Aaron C. Lachant joined the firm as an associate in 2008. He received
his Juris Doctor, as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Health
Services Management and Policy from Syracuse University in 2008. In law
school, he was a member of the Health Law Society and participated in an
international seminar on comparative health law and policy. During his
third year, he completed an independent comparative research study on
the Constitutional issues surrounding a patient’s right to die. Aaron
earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Rhetorical Studies
from Syracuse University in 2005. Prior to joining the firm,
Aaron clerked for the New York State Supreme Court
5th Judicial District.
Carol Scott's practice involves regulatory compliance for a broad range
of health care providers, including long-term care facilities,
behavioral health facilities, and other health care-related entities and
individuals. Ms. Scott regularly advises for-profit and non-profit
health care organizations and practitioners on certification and
licensing issues, as well as on implementation of compliance plans
regarding HIPAA, reimbursement, fraud, abuse, and all aspects of their
operations.
Nicholas Jurkowitz joined the firm in 2010. Prior to joining Fenton
Nelson,
Nick was an associate at Sullivan
& Cromwell, LLP, where he primarily worked on
securities and antitrust matters.
Patricia
Sanchez joined Fenton Nelson in 2010.Prior
to joining the firm, Patricia was a
consultant for the healthcare
advisory branch of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where
she worked on
revenue cycle, strategic planning and policy implementation
projects
for several payor and provider healthcare clients ranging from
hospital
systems to health insurance networks.As
a consultant, she also worked internationally on the organizational
restructuring
of a five-hospital medical corporation in the Middle East, as well
as
working with the State of California on the development of a state-wide
surge
plan for hospitals.
Tom Douvan is a seasoned trial attorney with 25 years of experience. He
brings to the firm substantial experience litigating medical-legal
issues and other cases relevant to the firm's client base.
Beth Kase is an experienced transactional lawyer with over
25 years of experience.She joined Fenton
Nelson in 2010 after 19 years as an associate and then partner in the
firm of Saphier and Heller (1991-2010).She received her
law degree from the Law
Center of the University of Southern California (J.D. 1983), where she
received
the Law Center's prestigious Shattuck Award in recognition of
outstanding
contributions, including public service and legal scholarship, by law
students.She received her B.A. degree from Tufts

Shara
Lerman is an associate with Fenton Nelson practicing in the firm’s
